Youth Coaches
Angel City Squids Mission Statement:
To serve the North Orange County community with an integral initiative for youth lacrosse. Our goal is to continue to grow the sport, while developing young athletes into better competitors and people through a shared passion. Our core values as a staff are Humility, Accountability, Passion, and Perseverance. We believe these are four cornerstones to the advancement of any young person inside or outside the world of sports.

Ryan Sullivan '20
Coach Sullivan is entering his second year with the program and has been coaching youth lacrosse since 2022. He was a multi-sport athlete at Servite, playing both soccer and lacrosse. As part of the 2020 graduating class, his senior season was cut short due to COVID, which ultimately pushed him toward coaching while in college. He attended the University of Arizona for a year before transferring to Boise State, where he earned his degree in Educational Studies along with a certificate in Sport Coaching.
While in Idaho, he coached a local middle school club team that went on to win a league championship. After graduating, he returned home to help grow the Angel City youth lacrosse program. Last year, he coached the 7th/8th grade team during the Squid’s inaugural season, leading a group of mostly brand-new players to a championship in their respective division.
Coach Sullivan takes pride in developing young athletes both on and off the field. He understands the youth lacrosse experience and focuses on helping new players build a strong foundation in the fundamentals while growing their confidence and love for the game.
